Seminar on Utilization of Coal to Generate Energy in the Sultanate

 

As per the Royal Directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the National Economy Ministry organized a specialized scientific seminar on utilization of coal to generate energy in the Sultanate at Al Bustan Palace Hotel during Jan 24th and 25th, 2010.

The seminar aimed at highlighting the envisaged economic gains in case the Sultanate decided to utilize coal and the measures to be taken to contain the ecological and health hazards caused. The speakers presented their experience in tackling pertinent technical, economic and environmental issues.
