MONE Survey:
The Statics Advisory committee which was formed under the jurisdiction of
Ministry of National Economy and which has been entrusted by the statistical law
to study, approve and advise on any statiscal survey or Study undertaken by
Ministries, Government Institutions or Private Entities, request any government
or Private Organization which desire to conduct a Statiscal Survey/Study to
register in Mone Survey Request Management and forward the information of
Surveys/Studies by completing the request form. The dully completed forms should
be submitted for the evaluation. This doesn’t include the specialized surveys
and non statistical surveys executed by specific entities.

Index :
Refers to a set of indices that measure the average price changes of industrial goods that producers receive from their products when they sell them domestically or abroad . It is based on a basket of products collected quarterly from a selected sample of establishments representing different sectors which are notified by the Ministry .
Foreign investment survey:
Investment , in general , is an important variable in determining the economic
status of any country in the short- term and a growth mover in the long term .
Foreign investment has become the first growth mechanism in the global economy
today . In this context , the Ministry , in coordination with the Central Bank ,
conducts foreign investment survey which includes all enterprises of foreign
direct investment , and all enterprises of portfolio listed at Muscat Securities
Market and all enterprises of other investment which include the 100% Omani
establishments that have abroad transactions in form of loans , investments or
other .
Hotels survey: Hotels
survey is performed on an annual , quarterly and monthly basis . The survey,
which is performed by the Ministry of National Economy in cooperation with the
Ministry of Tourism , aims to provide important data for preparation of the
national accounts of hotels’ activity and the accounts of the tourism . Through
the survey many and varied data are collected regarding the size of revenue ,
expenditure , employment , salaries and wages ; in addition to data on visitors’
numbers and occupancy rate . The annual and quarterly surveys include all
hotels, while the monthly survey covers Five- and Four-Stars hotels .
